What would the doctor do?

Question:
Im Emily and Im 13 years old. I live in Singapore so it may be different in the US. I want to go to the doctor and consult about my periods. It has been 4-5 months now. I know I'm still beginning to have periods but this is sort of long? I've been under stress lately, Singapore is a very tough place. In schools, we have exams every 3 months. Now, Im going through my final year examinations which are very important for me to pass on to the next level. Could this be the reason why my period is absent? Anyway, I plan on consulting a doctor, what do you think he would do to find out the problem? He wont examine me, will he? I wouldnt want that if he is going to check out my body.

Answers:
Yes, I believe stress can affect anything about a persons health it can make a person blood pressure rise so i do not see why it could not delay your period...another thing it could be is that u are 13 and when you are usually at a young age then your body and it's hormones sort have not come to terms. so it is actually normal for a girl at your age to have unregulated periods...but go ahead talk to your doctor and I'm sure he/she will be able to help u Good Luck.....hope i was of some help to u ....
There is nothing wrong with you at all. Your body is just starting to change and this takes time to settle. Dont worry at all unless of course you have had intercourse then I would worry!!! Everything will settle down soon.
