Are there any ALCOHOLICS here right now?

Question:

I know they say that Americans are getting fatter and drunker, but why do I have to fit that profile. I hate the drunk part.

I am a recovered alcoholic. There are AA Meetings everywhere in the world as well as online. You're asking the right questions. Keep going. You do not have to fit either fat or drunk. Neither is fun...PS I say "recovered" because I do not drink anymore for many years now...

U can look in your local phone book for AA groups and someone will talk to u. It is easy for some people to think that alcohol will solve all the problems but from some of my friends i have learned it only made there problems worse. Seems like I was told if u type in "friends of Bill W" on the search bar u can come up with online meetings not sure, I will ask my friend and repost if she rememvbers.
