Bio Identical hormones...does anyone know about this?

Question:
And how do they work? I am beginning menopause and am considering this option. How are they different from naturally compounded progesterone cream?

Answers:
I've been studying bioidentical progesterone for about a year.

Generally, compounded progesterone creams are too strong. They are normally about 10% progesterone. The cream you WANT to try will have about 3% progesterone.

Remember, it is hormonal BALANCE you are looking for, not "squash the estrogen"!!

You could also call the Women's International Pharmacy (1-800-279-5708) and ask for their free kit on compounding hormones. It is very informative.

If you are entering menopause, I HIGHLY recommend you start a natural progesterone cream. Make sure the ingredients list it as "USP Progesterone". This is the only way it can be used by your body.

Read my profile. I run a support group for hormonal women. We'd love to have you!
GO TO YOUR GYNOCOLOGIST THEY CAN TAKE TEST AND PRESCRIBE WHAT YOU NEED . WHY NOT GET PROFESSSIONAL INFO .
