This is a very serious question for anyone willing to answer??

Question:
My husband had a vasectomy 8 months ago. He never went back for a check to make sure the sperm was gone. We have been having unprotected sex for 3 months now. I am 10 days away from my period and I have sore breasts, and they feel full. They have also gotten a little larger over the last two days. I am in shock and disbelief as this these are the same symptoms I had with all three of my other kids. I took three tests in the last three days and they have all been negative. I know it is too early to tell but I am really nervous and anxious. Could I be pregnant?? Has this happened to anyone else??

Answers:
Pregnancy is a possibility. However, it's very early to have symptoms though. If you have a regular, 28 day cycle, you ovulated 4 days ago. Even if fertilization occured, it's very, very early to have pregnancy symptoms. And even if you are pregnant, it is way to early for a pregnancy test to be positive.

The easiest first step would be for your husband to get a semen analysis as soon as possible. That'll help you figure out what to do next. Another thing you could do is get an appointment with your OB/GYN and get a lab order for a blood pregnancy test that you can take if your period doesn't come when it's due (assuming you have regular periods).

I'm a medical student, and yes I've heard of patients who get pregnant after their husbands have had vasectomies. It's very effective, but it's not 100% (that's why there's a follow up evaluation). It's the exception though, not the norm.

Other Answers:
You could be pregnant if your husband didn't go back for the check up. If they're the same symptoms you had before, take a pregnancy test. If it comes back positive, well, he should probably be checked too.....
Yes you could be pregnant.
Vasectomy's fail.. that is why we ask them to return to check and make sure there is no sperm movement, etc....
Go in to the OBGYN and ask them to do their pregnancy tests...
Also, get your hubby back to check and make sure...
Maybe you are just having preperiod symptoms.
a vasectomy can be unsuccessful....go to a womens clinic and get tested, because yes, its possible that you could be pregnant. It's also possible that you're just pms'ing hard and thats why you feel all those symptoms but end the wondering and the stress on yourself and get tested asap.
It's quite possible. You aren't alone-- it has happened to other people too. Usually the physician warns you about having unprotected sex until the sperm count is zero. And that can take six months.
You should know in ten days time -- and at this moment, that probably seems like it's ten years away.
Hope it works out for you, and if not, well at least you know this will be your last child because you won't have unprotected sex again until his sperm count has vanished.
Good luck!
O.k., if you are having pregnancy symptoms, that would mean that implantation had happened and your body was producing Hcg (preg. hormone). Under that condition, the test would be positive. My guess is you are not pregnant.

As I have gotten older, my pms symptoms have started as early as two weeks before my period. I'm 38 and found out the cause is perimenopause.

Just to be sure, go to your doctor for a blood test -- but, again, Hcg causes the pregnancy symptoms, and that's what detected by the pregnancy test.
no,it hasn't happened to me and Ive had mine tied for 10 years! But you never know anything can happen. But it doesn't hurt to get yourself checked.
my parents once had a friend who had a vasectomy and so him and his wife started having unprotected sex... suprise suprise his wife ended up falling pregnent after the vasectomy with TWINS!!!!
as i've learned if your symptoms are like a pregnancy, and as your husband didnt go for sperm check, then you must be pregnant again.if you dont wanna have another baby go for a pregnancy test as soon as possible.
