When the vaginal mucus is clear and stringlike, then she is ovulating. Any other type of discharge is a non-ovulation time. If there is a foul odor, then some type of infection is going on and she needs to see a doctor.

Cervical fluid is the consistency of glue and will be stringy like when pulled apart in most women. I wouldn't just trust the cervical fluid when preventing pregnancy though.

The stickiness or otherwise of your cervical fluid has nothing to do with fertility. However, to doubly make sure, consult a good and experienced lady gynaecologist.
