I have taken 8 birth control pills.. Protected??

Question: I take Cryselle, and I have taken 8 pills, and never miss or forgot within those 8 !!!! Question is Today, i had unprotected sex, and I was wondering if i should be fine.. I started the pack when my doctor told me too and that was the sunday after my period!!! I read on the package of my birth control, that as long as you take it for 7 days, you should be fine!!! And on some website i read that too, but then there are website's that say you have to take it for a month!!! I wasn't sure!!! Please only answer if you know for sure..

You need to use another form of protection for the first 3 months after you begin taking the pill.

The pill is not 100% effective. You need to double up for more effective protection. Pill + condom, pill + spermicide, pill + diaphragm, etc.

go by what the package the pills came in says. If it says a week, then you should be ok.

I used to work for planned parenthood. . we always suggested that womed be on the pill for 30 days to make sure it was thoroughly into their system. . and the same if you ever change the brand of BC pill..... Always keep in mind that the pill is never 100% effective anyway.
