Are my spider veins going to get worse over time?

Question: I'm only 18 and i'm starting to get spider veins. I have one obvious one on the back of my leg and one on my thigh. If I press down on my skin (on my legs) i can see little ones but i'm not sure if their going to become noticable. I have a habit of sitting on my legs and crossing my legs. I also know that my grandma has spider and variocose veins.

I had spider veins at 18, and they didn't get worse over time. I still have the ones I got at 18 though. I'm now in my 50s. I suspect weight might have something to do with it. If they really bother you, you can have them removed. I believe the procedure is straightforward.
