Can you conceive two weeks after abortion? My sister was 8 weeks & 3 days pregnant when she had her abortion?

Question:
on July 15. Before you all start pointing the finger & judging her, my sister was trying for a baby & was excited when she found out that she was pregnant. She was forced to have an abortion because the baby that she wanted had been conceived with a disease (i'm not too fond of what it is). The doctor said that the likelihood of this happening to another child that she would conceive are slim to none (actual chances are 1 in 10 million) and that she could begin trying to conceive anytime after the 2 week healing process. At first my sister was depressed but she found her answer to why this happened in god and decided not to give up. On the 29th of July (exactly 2 weeks after) she had unprotected sex and has continued to do so. Today it has been 4weeks & 2days since she had the baby terminated. She has taken 8 pregnancy test. 7 out of 8 test said that she was pregnant however it could be from the pregnancy before (due to the blood). How likely is it that she could be pregnant now? Help!

Answers:
She could be pregnant, happens all the time with women who give birth and don't wait the 6 weeks they are supposed to.I wish your sister all the best,I know it was a difficult decision to make.I was in a similar situation, but did not chose abortion.Thank God my child turned out alright.

Other Answers:
Could be... have her go to the dr in any case.
Two possibilities here most probable is that the hormone that the test use to check for pregnancy are still in her body because of the first baby. However yes she could get pregnant as soon as she produced another egg. What I'm not sure of is how long after terminating the pregnancy that would happen.
from my underestanding you are supposed to wait 6 weeks to have sex after an abortion? but in any case i bet its the hormones from the previous pregnancy. she should see her doctor.
