i think you have been misinformed. can you name the source that said *only sexual freedom* equals happiness? sexual repression might equal unhappiness among many other causes for unhappiness. there are lots of other things that make people happy besides sexual freedom. that statement is ridiculous.

they have a place in India, where in the belief is that people need to rise above desires to imbibe spiritual freedom,

Happiness does not come from external things.. it is a mental phenomenon. It can only be reached when those external things are put in the background.

Neither money nor sexual permissiveness bring you lasting happiness, it may bring you temporary happiness but bring in its trail more unhappiness in other ways.Rajnish's theory that if you enjoy sex long you will get bored and turn spiritual is not supported by human experience.You may get bored for the time being but as long as the thought is there in the mind, it will sprout when the conditions become favorable.So don't celebrate your sexual freedom, you are going in the wrong direction
