What's wrong with "eat right and exercise"? It's when someone suggests you can lose weight any other way that you need to watch out.
Seriously, I know what you mean - it sounds so simple, doesn't it: "Eat right and exercise". Like it's the easiest thing in the world. As you (and anyone who's tried to slim down) will know, the truth is more complicated.
It's about hating what you see in the mirror and hiding under a sweatshirt. It's about skipping meals, kidding yourself that a few of your mate's crisps don't count and going hungry. Or giving-in to chocolate and feeling disgusting and weak.
But remember: at 14 no one should be losing weight. At any age, no one should be making themselves sick. And one look at the millions of different diet plans tells us this - they don't work. If they did, why invent more than one?
I'm glad you want to do things safely. So, unapologetically and loud: please EAT RIGHT AND EXERCISE. Your body will take care of the rest as you grow taller. It may not be easy, but it is simple. And chuck out that sweatshirt, you needn't hide from anyone.

Just eat right, and stay active. It's better to be healthy and fit, than just skinny.
exercise more. My daughter is 14 and in between sports she gains a few pounds and to get it off she will walk around the block a few times every day. Or instead of pizza order a salad small changes can help alot. change your diet. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink 2 glasses of milk a day. Stay away from fast food and processed food. Go jogging for about 20 minutes three times a week. You're 14 you should see a change soon. If not give it some time. Don't do anything drastic. Oh yeah and drink plenty of water. It flushes our systems.
only 14! u should play sports, dance, walk or any active activities u can get ur self into and also watch wat u eat.
u cud go gym they have ppl 14 goin gym or even better join a sport u get exercise meet new ppl and also lose sum weight and also learn sumthing benefitin all around anyway later..
Just watch what you eat & make healthy choices. Not just for losing 5 lbs but as normal everyday habit. A good habit to get into. Be active..I don't think at 14 you need an excersise routine-unless you just enjoy it. But playing sports or going for a walk or bike ride is great easy physical activity.
