If you have to ask this question, on an Answer Board no less, you are WAY TOO YOUNG TO BE GETTING MARRIED!
if you take birth control pills, skip the pink/green ones that are inactive, and start right on taking the regular white ones again, this is what I do to not have my period
Quit taking your pills a few weeks early and have your period before your wedding. Then a week before, start back on them. Just don't have unprotected sex. You'll have screwed up cycles for a few months until you're back on track.
You can adjust it by taking the inactive ones after the honeymoon. Only take the active ones until you want your period to start. Ask your doctor if he can give you two sets so that you can skip it until you want your period to start.
there is a birth control needle that you get every 3 months and you dont get your period and it also works as contraception.
Well......if you are on the pill...figure out when you are supposed to get your period....if you think it will be OVER by the 9th then just take your pills like you normally do and then you'll be able to really enjoy your honeymoon.

If it usually comes around the 8th or 9th, you should talk to your family doctor for sure about this one but I believe you may be able to take your birth control pills for up to 7 days extra to delay your period.....but I think it depends on what type of pills you are on so best to check with the doctor first.....

Good luck!
Skip over the inactive ones and start your new pack of pills.
omg sept 9 is my birthday! congrates to you by the way. yeah um listen to the others they know what they are talking about. good luck!!!
Skip the inactive pills, therefore you will not have your period. Don't do this for too long, and make sure it's okay with your doctor first.
If you are on the pill, just start your next cycle after your 21 birth control pills. Don't take your sugar pills. (If you are on a 28 day cycle, the last seven are sugar pills) Ask your doctor, they will explain it to you. I did it for my wedding. If you aren't on BC, I am sorry I don't know. Good luck.
If you are taking birth control pills already you can use them to push back your period. Instead of taking the 'sugar' tablets for the week of your period, start your next pack and take them to push back your period. It is ok to do this once but don't make it a habit.
If your not on the pill, go see a doc and get on them and explain why.
OMG My birthday is the day after ur wedding that is so kool

Oh and my suggestion is to not where a white wedding gown.
That should solve ur brother,or just change the date of ur wedding, but I would just choose a different dress cause replanning the whole wedding, well thats just to much for me.
if you are getting married your partner should be able to have sex with you with your period on or off. it has been said that this is the cleanest time to actually have sex and iam sure if you douch before it wont be as heavy.
just have him understand that ur a woman and thats what happens loll u dont have to change history its meant to happen or just have him rao that shiot
I'm guessing your asking how to avoid having your period be during your wedding and honeymood...right?

The ideal situation is to not do anything, and just let your period come, but I can totally understand not wanting your period that month.

Please, please, please make sure this is okay with your OBGYN first, okay??

To skip a period, you can omit taking the inactive pills (the one week when you would normally get your period) and just start on a new month's active pills. So in short, you skip the green ones (if yours are like mine) and start right in on the white ones.

This will make sure you don't get a period. It isn't really the best thing to do on a regular or even semi-regular basis, even though lots of people do it. (Lots of people jump of bridges onto cement, but that isn't necessarily a good thing either.)

If you take your birth control at the same time everyday (please do, within 10 minutes of the same time) you won't have any problems (ie, baby.)

Please just call your doc and make sure she knows what you're thinking, in case there are personal circumstances beyond my knowledge that could pose a risk.

Good luck, and congrats on getting married!! :)
Call and make an appointment to see your OB/GYN now. You can discuss the dates and get on schedule now. Don't wait.
Skipping the inactive pills and starting your new pack is ok... but you should never quit taking your birth control and restart... you just increase your risk of pregancy. I also wouldn't suggest changing the type if it is working for you, if you change your body will need time to adapt and it might make your cycle off. If you talk to you doctor they are usually more than willing to get you the extra pack you need.
I'm not sure what method of birth control you are on but instead of taking a week off you go straight into the next pack, patch, ring whatever you use and make sure you finish the whole thing then you have your period the next time your done.
