Pores on Face Question. Please Help?

Question: I never wear blush or any type of makeup, but the pores on my cheeks are open. When I wake up and throughout the day it stays open. I don't have any acne. I was wondering what does this mean? Is it good or bad? If bad, what are ways I can get them closed, so it doesn't look like I have holes in my face.
