why do i yawn everytime i excercise?

Question:

Answers:
I do this too, and everyone laughs at me! I tell them that it's not because I'm tired - it's because I need more oxygen. I'm probably not breathing correctly. But, yes, it's only because your body needs more oxygen and that is causing you to take deeper breaths. I think it's fine, but maybe you and I both should learn the proper breathing, if there is such thing!

Other Answers:
Because your body is taking in the extra oxygen it needs. After a while it should stop. That's why they tell you to BREATHE when you exercise. In through your nose and out through your mouth.

Lack of oxygen to the brain. Hypoxia Probably cuz your bored..?? lol.have you ever been on opiods? Sometimes withdrawal from an opiod can cause yawning.

what is an opiod? it is a narcotic The yawn is a indication that we are tierd sleepy or bored, a reaction to psycological decompensation after a high state of alertness.
The hypotheosis a yawn because we are over loaded with carbon dioxide and need more oxygen to our our blood is not correct. We begin to yawn in the womb.
Another hypothesis is that a yawn is caused by the same nuerotransmitters that effect mood, serotonin, dopamine, ect. as they increase and become active in the brain yawning increases, sleep is said to decrease the re-up take of these neuro-transmitters so this could be the reason we yawn soon after awaking. Also the presence of opiate nuero-transmitter endorphins reduces yawning ( this would be why a person detoxing from opiates would yawn more)
In your case I would go with another theory that yawning is like a stretch..a stretch increase blood pressure and increases heart rate, and produces a oil like substance that aids in breathing.
Yet another theory, that Yawning displays the canine teeth, there for serves as a signals to those in the pack (peers), of warning, sleepiness, or courtship among some primates and vertabrates. There for establishment of social order.
Yawn, is it contagious..only in humans and primates, try yawning infront of your pet.
Exercise has an effect on all above mentioned, neurotransmitters, stretching, breathing, social order.
So stretch before excercising, breath during exercise, and do a cool down routine before stopping, and stop showing off for those around you..lol
