Do birth control pills make you more emotional?

Question: I have been on birth control for a year now. I was just curious if it makes you more emotional b/c even when I am not on my period I get really upset for no reason.

Birth Control is designed to manipulate the body into believing that it is pregnant. That way if you do get pregnant The Uterus won't allow the embryo to attach and therefore it causes a chemical abortion. You can expect many symptoms of pregnancy while on birth control.
