Why when it like the fifth and or sixth and final day of my period do I get this foul funny smelling odor?

Question:
It only seem to happen when I'm on my last day. I bathe like twice a day but that doesn't seem to mass the odor on the last day.

Answers:
It is the last bit of blood that has been there for awhile coming out. Not much to do about it. You can try not wearing tampons, and just pads during the last days. That will let more air in and let it dry better. Other than that, change pads often, and try wiping with a diaper wipe well every time you use the bathroom.

If it is really foul or you get a whitish or yellow discharge, go see a doctor.

Other Answers:
Douche

You probably don't wash well enough in the nooks & crannies. Use a face cloth next time this happens (not just the bar). Maybe you have a yeast infection. Sounds like an issue you should discuss with your doctor.

It's usually due to a change in the acidity of the vagina. It is supposed to be an acidic environment, but at that time, it tends to become somewhat more basic, which causes changes that lead to the smell. It's best not to douche, but if you must, use one with vinegar.

Is your period heavy?...You might have a lot more sweating in the pubic area during that time of the month. There are several things that you can try.

One is to use deodorant tampons and change them each time you go the bathroom. It's best to change pads every 3 or 4 hours, even when you're not menstruating very much.

When you change your pad on a regular basis, it prevents buildup of bacteria and eliminates odor.

Try wearing cotton panties, to reduce sweating, also use douches and other feminine hygiene products (from cornstarch baby powder between the thighs, to feminine sprays).

Good Luck! actually douching doesn't help with odor because i think it washes away all the good bacteria you have down there and makes things worse. bathing twice a day is over doing it. you're probably overthinking it too much and your boyfriend probably wouldn't really notice it. Just don't let your boyfriend have his head down there on your last day. Change your tampon/pad regularly and get over it. Oh - and don't use scented things, because those are gross and smell just as bad and i think they cause yeast infections or something.
