I always thought it was good to wear one with a tampon while you were on your period incase of a leak.

I hardly think a pantyliner will help with bladder problems. They can be good for the last day or two of your period, because they're really thin and you don't need much absorption anymore.
Yes - for those wet days.or light days. They keep you fresh.
