My girlfriend, who is 53, and never had children, recently stated that she "wanted a baby"?

She never had children with her husband, who cheated on her. She had a twenty year relationship with a guy that started when she was 32. No children. She would have made a maginificent mother, i have seen her with children. Does a woman who wanted children so bad and never had them, does that affect them mentally, and as time goes on? She had a "crisis" when she turned 40, and had an "affair" with a younger coworker. I suspect that not having children has affected her.

Maybe you could encourage her to try foster care. There are a lot of kids that need to be in a good home and it sounds like she can provide that for them.
