my friend shakes when she hasn't had alcohol for a couplr of hours...?

Question: I was wondering if anyone could give me some concrete health info that I could share with her to let her know how deep into alcoholism that is. She also has a chronic cough. Her abdomen is also distended.

Answers:
She probably already has liver damage if her belly is distended. She is shaking from withdrawl syndrome. Tell her how much she means to you and how you really feel about her alcoholism. Encourage her to get professional help. She needs more help then you can give her if she is really that bad. Someday, she will thank you for probably saving her life. Does her parents know she has this problem? Maybe they could help you too?
