Can the gyno tell if you use tampons?

Question:
I have a question and it is more sensible if the girls answer this because it is a female problem. I have a concern about gyno exams. The thing is that my doctor has been insistent upon me wearing tampons for my periods. Yes, I am a virgin and my first gyno exam hurt but they have gotten better. I tried every single tampon, even the thin ones but I cannot get the hang of them. Well, I put it inside me and relax my muscles but when it goes all the way it feels tight inside. I am not trying to clench my muscles though. I do not suffer much pain in gyno exams. I feel comfortable with pads. I am thinking about telling her, next time I see her,

"Look, you can ***** at me all you want. I do not feel comfortable wearing tampons. I feel more comfortable wearing pads, end of story."

My hymen was broken a while back because I was active. Could they tell if I was using tampons during my period? If I just tell her yes, can she tell I am lying? I

Answers:
My immediate response is to change doctors now; no doctor should be recommending tampons let alone insisting that you use them.

The risks associated with tampons is a matter of logic, tampons are the most harmful menstrual option available because; they prevent healthy vaginal cleaning functions, give bacteria a pores environment to multiply, dry out mucosa of the vaginal walls and introduce chemicals into the vagina – thus why tampons are associated with toxic shock syndrome, vaginal infections such as bacterial vaginosis, vaginal splitting, increased menstrual flow and increased menstrual cramps.

If you are comfortable with pads then stick with pads, it is your choice and they are far healthier for you than tampons. Before you go it might be an idea to verse yourself on tampon risks, possibly other safer options such as menstrual cups, and inform her of these things, things she should already be very much aware of. It may also be another idea to report her or put in a complaint if she is pressuring you to use tampons or anything you don't want to use.

There is no reason to lie about it or worry if she can tell or not SHE IS IN THE WRONG not only for trying to pressure you to use something you are not comfortable with but trying to make you use something that is bad for your vaginal health. I would not trust anyone who recommended I use tampons with my vagina.

You should just tell her you feel really uncomfortable wearing them, they shouldn't force you to do something you can't.
