Anyone know any easy exercises for the obese?

The trick is to set yourself achievable goals that you can build upon as you improve and build up your confidence for losing weight. The best thing to do would be to start with a gentle walk every day for as much as you can handle, and every day after that try to push yourself a little harder, but never too much unless you feel you are ready. The best kind of exercise is the cardiovascular type. If you are able to go to the gym, try the bikes and set them so there is no pressure on your muscles, then cycle as fast as you can handle to get the heart pumping - this is the best way to burn fat. The most effective way to solve the obesity would be to match this kind of daily excersise with healthier food choices...pick the low GI foods over starchy ones, for example whole grain bread is MUCH healthier and MUCH more filling than white bread. Being obese you are at great risk of developing type 2 diabetes so Low GI food is definately the way to go. Low fat yogurt, almonds, sweet potato are some other tasty foods....drink water rather than juice.....cook with poly-unsaturated cooking oils like canola or sunflower (and try to minimise the frying) Fresh fruit and veges are always a plus...try cutting back on coffee..if not possible cut back on the sugar and substitute full cream milk for skim......Sorry I have really gone off on a tangen but I am very passionate about helping those suffering obesity get control over their lives. Good luck! Don't give up, and make sure you have a good network of friends and family for support.
All the best!

try the pool
swimming for the obese is great because theres no pressure on the joints and you do more because your floating alot.
also walking is a good way to lose cals you dont have to start off huge just a walk to the lamp post, most people start slow and pick it up in no time before you know it you will be walking 4 km a day or more its enjoyable and you get to take in the scenery and fresh air.
mayby take up a light sport, or kick the ball around with the kids, plus trampolining is awesome fun and low impact again and burns cals.
good luck
yes, first of all u need to eat well, have a well balanced meal with lots of fuits, avoid anything sweet, drink lots of water, then there are a number of exercises u can do, walking, running, aerobics, sit ups....
It is true that water aerobics are the most comfortable for someone who is obese, due to the semi-weightless-ness of a body in water. There is almost no impact on the ankles or back (which many obese people suffer from) Chair aerobics are also good for the upper body with no impact on the spine or ankles .
Most exercise of this type is offered at local YMCA's, along with support groups like HOPE.
THE POOL IS A GREAT PLACE TO START,IT IS LESS TAXING ON THEJOINTS,ALSO WALKING ,BICYCLE RIDING ALL VERY EASY TO GET STARTED
sorry if this is harsh but notice the question: "Anyone know any EASY exercises..."
Excuse me, but that's why people get obese because they do EASY exercises, like sitting in front of the TV and stuffing themselves.
Exercising is NOT easy. Being consistent and exercising regularly (not sporadically and then stopping after a week because it didn't work), is hard work. If you mean "easy" as in "easy on the joints", then I would say hit the pool, other than that, it takes hard work and sweat and discipline.
