is a pulse rate of 50 beats per minute normal?
Question:
Answers:
Yes, if you are very fit.
Athletes have a very low pulse rate.
60-80 is only an average guide-line, we are all different.
Mine has always been below what's considered the norm, and I am no athlete, but I'm still very much here and healthy.
Hope this sets your mind at rest a bit, but won't do any harm to ask a professional, just to be sure.

no way
yep, thats fine, no problems :) its actually very good.
contact me if you need help, i've studied sports/physiology
NO.............60 to 80 beats per min.....is fine anything over or under is not good...get it checked out now.
Average adult rate is 70pm, so 50pm is okay, it means you're quite fit! The fitter you are, the lower your heart rate generally, unless of course you don't do anything to make yourself fit, then a low heart rate can be a concern. See your Doc if you're worried
its too low
For elephants yes.
People...mmmm eother you're in SUPERB shape, or need to see a doctor for a condition called bradi-chardia, which leades to congestive heart failure.
It really depends on whether this is a RESTING rate or not. Makes all the difference medically.
its kinda slow should be around 70 i think go to a doctor.
For an athlete it's normal.
Only if you're a marathon runner. That's very low.
That is low for an average person according to statistics. I think the average for men is about 70 and for women it's about 80.
However..
If you follow any athletic pursuits regularly, like running. Then 50 is good.
Remember. A faster resting heart rate is less healthy. A lower resting heart rate is more healthy.
its a bit low for the average person
normally 60-80
tho pro sports people have a much lower pulse than ur average
Miguel indirran (spelt wrong) the cyclist had a resting pulse of just under 40 but he was a bit abnormal
The normal Beats for human is 72 Times per minute( as per the medical terms) ,For infants it will be above 75-80.

Pulse Rate
The pulse rate of children is faster that older people which is often slower than that of the average healthy adult. Pulse rates between 50 and 85 per minute are considered within normal limits. The normal rate for an average man is about 72, while women’s is 76-80. The pulse rate of a newborn child can be as high as 140 per minute. The normal rate for a seven- year- old is about 90. A slower pulse rate of 50 to 65 is not unusual in elderly people. Regardless of a person's age the pulse and heart rhythm should be regular.
I HOPE YOU GOT YOUR ANSWER AND ALL THE BEST
Without additional information, I can't tell you the correct answer for you.
Normally, an answer is 70-80 bpm is considered the ranged you want to be in.
Athletes generally have lower heart rates and are healthy with a heart rate of 45-50.
People who are sedentary and have that heart rate are classed as having bradycardia. If the person has low blood pressure with this rate, this is a problem.
Is it normal? No. Is it bad or negative? No, not at all. It shows your are aerobically very fit. Mine is high 30s...like 38/39/40 depending on when I take it...but, I run and bike and swim alot so it is not so surprising.
It is one measure of the fitness of your cardiovascular system (there are many ways to measure your fitness level) and in this case, it shows you have good health.
i hope so.cos mine is
No you have hypotension. You need to seek medical attention fast and OH YEAH DONT DRIVE YOURSELF you might FAINT.
do you do a lot of sport because if you do it because of that.
60 -80 is the average, unless your'e a super fit sportsperson. See your Gp if you are worried
I'm not a doctor but based on personal experience, it's probably even better than that. As a result of stress, I recently had some acid reflux symptoms which were mimicking heart problems, so I underwent a full cardiac workup including stress tests with ultrasound imaging, ECG, etc. which all showed my heart to be normal and strong. My normal pulse rate is in the upper 50s to low 60s when I'm "out of shape". When I run regularly, it drops into the 40s fairly quickly, it has been measured as low as 43 on several occasions recently. So, your pulse may naturally be a bit on the low side and if you're in good shape it will drop even lower.
If that description doesn't really seem to fit you then it might be worth double-checking with your doctor.
