A guestion about the shot? (Females)?

I am planning on getting on the shot (the one u get every 6 months) but I heard you dont have you period for the time you are on the shot. Is this normal? Also, has anyone had any symtons while on the shot? I also heard it puts weight on and messes with your hormones. After I get the shot should my bf thinks its okay to not wear a condom anymore, I told he still has too?? Then I think why should I get the shot if I am still going to make him wear the condom?

It every 3 months, I wouldn't recommend it, I think it was the most horrible thing I did. I didn't have a period for a year and half. But some women have a period every day while on the depo shot. I got really depressed, moody, gained so much weight. The shot tricks your body into thinking your pregnant, so your are just a hormonal wreck! But good luck in what every you choose.

Well yeah it's kind of stupid. But he has to wear a condom bcuz the shot doesn't save u from any ifection. And yes many girls gain a lot of wieght, It also messes with ur hormones like hell, it's like PMS. Anyway u should talk to ur doctor b4 u get it. He is going to answer u better than any of us.
