can abortion cause barrenness for women?
Question:
Answers:
unfortunately, yes.
during the abortion procedures your uterus might be damaged..the chances increase according to the time you've been carrying your baby.after 3 months of pregnancy,it is a bad idea to abort it.
u might also get puerperal sepsis, which may be fatal, caused by bacterial infection.
or rarely, but may happen, there may be some left overs of the fetus/medical instrument in your uterus which will lead to chronic irritation..which might give rise to cancer.
Other Answers:
no it doesn't. but pls avoid abortion
Duh! The uterus can be permanently damaged from an abortion. In select cases women have died from abortions which caused heavy bleeding.
Shouldn't if it is carried out by an expert gynecologist even if it is done several times, although it is not advisable. Usage of intra-uterine devices (IUD's) would be an ideal solution for avoiding pregnancy.
I suppose it may depend on the type of procedure, but yes it can. If the lining of the uterus is injured during the procedure it may prevent a woman from getting pregnant again. Also uterine infections are possible and those can prevent a woman from getting pregnant again. I've actually heard a few women speak on T.V. and talk of not being able to conceive again because they had abortions.
I hope this helps.
P.S. I don't know where mandrake gets his info, but women can also get uterine infections by using IUD,s! We're not supposed to insult people so I won't say what I would like to say about Mandrake!
Yes. In some cases an abortion, which is a minor surgery can have complications one of which is no longer being able to have children. There are many health conserns to be considered when deciding to have an abortion surgery. Just the same there are many health concerns to be considered when deciding to give birth. Giving birth is still a more serious event than an abortion. This is really a question that could be best answered by a medical profesional

In rare cases, yes. This was very prominent in the 70s when abortion was illegal and women were getting 'back ally' abortions. If you have one from a doctor in a clinic or hospital, there should not be any long term PHYSICAL problems. Consult your doctor and if this is a decision that you choose to make, get your self some therapy so that you can work through it emotionally. My thoughts and prayers are with you!
If it's done properly and not repeatedly, it's should affect your fertility.
Get on birth control girl, because abortion is not a form of birth control (Unless it's a case of rape or molestation).
