By drinking good quality water, by staying clear of all junk foods. This includes all products containing, lite, fat free, artificial sweetners, slim etc... You will also need to sit in the full sun for a few minutes a day. Your body needs this important Vitamin D. Your skin will love you for it. Do you wear commercial applications like foundations, moisturisers, cleansers etc.. as these contribute to pimples as they contain some dreadfully harmful chemicals. If you can't eat it, don't use it on your skin. I like to use 100% pure RoseHip Oil on my face, I have an oily skin, so only two drops for me, I use 100% pure coconut oil for the rest of my body. The secret is to use and wear as much natural clothing, foods etc as possible.

Wash your face twice a day once in the morning and once before bed. after you wash use an astringent (sea breeze). this works great for me. I have oily skin and breakout easily. since i started doing this i only get maybe 1 or 2 around my menstral cycle.
keep your hands and face clean and try not 2 touch your face or let your hair touch it, if u get a pimple then just put a spot of toothpaste on it and it will go away almost over night.

Pimples are caused by oily skin and dust and bacteria which are trapped in your pores. You just need to wash your face more often than people with dry or normal skin. I used neutrogena face wash in my teens and it helped tremendously. I hardly use pimple cream. I just keep washing.

Personal experience: Proactive worked for awhile (like 4 months) then I became allergic to it, my face swollen every time I used it, I really don't think that's a good idea. How old are U? because the one thing that did work for me was to exercise often ( like twice a day, total 2 hours) so they actually went away. If you burn all that extra fat, that should do the trick, besides exercise is healthy over all.
