Question:
I have been taking birth control pills for the last 10-12 yrs,I stopped taking them last month and this month I havent got my periods,I am 12 days up.I have never missed my periods ever.Could it be menopause?coz I am 50.I have checked I am not pregnant.

Answers:
Sound's like menopause but then it could be that your cycle is messed up after going off of the pill, I would talk to your health care provider and see what they have to say.

Other Answers:
most likely menopause.but it would be better if you consult your doctor about it
You haven't had a period in over 10 years. Bleeding while on the pill is *completely* different; it's estrogen withdrawal bleeding, *not* a period. It takes your body a while to get "back in the habit". Not only that, since it's been so long, you have no idea what your current cycle length will be, so there's really no way to even just what *is* "late".

Or, yes, it *could* be menopause. The only way to know is to wait and see.
