Unfortunately about 5% of women who loose more than 80 ml per period and for these women the effects can impact on their quality of life, health and general wellbeing. Research suggests that many women will overestimate how much blood they lose.

Estimating Your Blood Loss:
Blood loss during a cycle ranges from ½ to 10 ounces, averaging at 4½ ounces. A normal pad can hold about 1 ounce of fluid.
