Is a doctor's office the same as a clinic?

Question:

People say that you can get the birth control pill at a clinic and they won't tell your parents but I don't know what the difference is between a doctor's office and a clinic.

They may mean a health department which is a clinic or a doctors office can be referred to as a clinic. Depends on your age if they will tell your parents and only if your parents ask , if you pay the day you are there or if it is free your parents will probably never find out from a health dept.

A doctor is someone you know and can trust! But when you go to a clinic you have no idea who you are working with and yoy know nothing about them....I would much rather a doctors office...i want to be helped by someone I know not just a stranger.
