what are the best stress relievers?

Question:
ok, besides having a tub of ice cream or an expensive massage, what kind of things do you do when you are stressed out?

Answers:
the best stress relief is sex, but there are also other things you can do like journaling, or drawing/painting, taking a nice hot bath, listening to some relaxing music, taking a nice long nap, reading, going for a walk, it just depends on what make you happy. I usually just watch a good, funny movie and take a bath and go to bed early. Just having a good, long, convo with your best friend can make you feel better.

Other Answers:
fitness never failed

Laughter is the best stress reliever, but it is kind of hard to laugh when you are stressing. I do the next best thing, which is breathe deeply, and let it out slowly, for a couple of breaths. This adds more oxygen to the lungs, blood and brain, and also can work to relax the tense stomach muscles. So I feel like I am relaxing a bit.

If you can take a short break from whatever the source of stress is, that works too, but sometimes it is not possible.

Drink herbal/chamomile tea, deep breath, and take a long bath w/ good smelling body washes (mint promotes relaxation by the way or try to get one in chocolate or the vanilla sugar at bath and Body Works). well when I'm stressed out I try to lay down think of the most important thing I like and get some one to rub my back.

sex,sex,sex!

take a ibuprofen or two and try to sleep. try not to think about the problem.

I like Yoga and walking. Deep breathing, slowly helps, too. go off to bed for a long deep sleep, it's amazing how sleep can relieve the tensions and anxieties. If I'm suffering from insomnia due to anxiety attacks, then I'll watch TV, especially comedies, spastic cartoons or funny entertainment stuff like AFV..
