Had Hysterectomy 3 weeks ago, my emotion health is wacky..?
Question:
Answers:
I have had a hysterectomy too and I am in my mid thirty's. I was a wreck for a while had to go on some anti anxiety medication. I yelled at my kids, cried because I yelled. I felt really vulnerable and anxious. Those hormones control us more than people think. Hang in there. I had my surgery a little over a year ago and I am doing so much better now.

I had a hysterectomy in my late twenties - you will have days where you are emotional. A hysterectomy is a physical and emotional shock to your body. You are just on your way to adjusting. Find a good doctor who will help you with hormone therapy. This will help. Change in mood looks to be pretty common. I think that's why after a hysterectomy, hormone replacement therapies are sometimes recommended. Talk to your doctor to find out whether treatment of any kind can be started now or whether you should wait for your body to do some adjustments on its own.
I had a hysterectomy a year ago and I still have not goten back to my old self so I asked my dr to put me on some anti-derpressants so my moods would stablize.MY dr told me it was normal to get depressed after having a hyterectomy.I had mine when I was 29 years old and I still wanted children
My mother had one about 4 years ago. She had emotional instability for 3-4 months after the surgery. This is nothing to worry about.
You will also experience something people like to call "ghost PMS". You'll find out what it is soon enough. :)
