Do you have a copper IUD (graphic...sorry)?

Question:
I've had my ParaGard copper T IUD for about a year now, and haven't had the first problem with it. My period ended a little over a week ago, and was normal. Tonight, I started bleeding. Bright red immediately (with my periods, it starts out brownish and works it way to red) and sort of mucousy. It was a smallish amount, and didn't happen every time I went to the bathroom...just a few times this evening. Healthy, 30 y.o. female, not sick (cold, flu, etc.) that I'm aware of, no sex recently (within the past week), and no pain associated with this unusual bleeding. This is the first time I've ever had anything like this happen. I'm planning to call my ob/gyn Monday a.m. (It's Saturday night at nearly 11 p.m. here now). I'm not terribly worried, so I'm looking for feedback here first. Thanks!
