How do I stop underarm odor?
Question:
Answers:
Could it be your diet? Some diets can trigger weird body odors.
Other Answers:
no idea. deodorant
consult a doctor. not just a derma or something
well if you have tried all sorts of deodorants and they don't work, I'd see anther doc.
you may have a gland problem-try going to your general practioner-it may be something internal.
after you get out of the shower use baby powder that should work
use a stronger deodorant, not a natural one. i am into all natural stuff but the deodorants are garbage. Ivory, Degree, speedstick, arm and hammer all work good.
Try using an unscented deoderant.
Try deodarant spray it works because I have that same problem!!
I would try keeping baby wipes with you, and wipe the underarms clean several times during the day and then applying an antiperspirant.
hmmm...
if it was sweat...i would tell you to try Drysol ( i think that's the correct spelling). It's supposed to stop you from sweating. But since you're saying it's not sweat...I don't know how to advise you.
there could be a deeper issue...what are the things that make you nervous like that?...those are the things that you should be focusing on...because if you can solve those issues...then you would solve the other...what do you get nervous about?...why?...those are the things to think about...some self talk may help...once you realize that whatever it is just isn't worth getting all worked up over...or you may need to talk to someone about the things you get so nervous about...and exactly how you feel when you get that nervous...get to the root of the problem...and it sounds to me like...the problem isn't only the odor...it goes deeper than that...good luck to you
You should start by dousing your armpits in warm water with salt in it as regularly as possible. Use an antiperpirant that works overtime because you tend to smell when your sweating excessively. Avoid eating spicy food. Might as well consider changing your wardrobe because sometimes the bacteria that are left in the armpit areas of clothes will triger the the smell once mixed with your sweat. Drinks lots of water to cleanse your system.
I hope I can be of help... Good luck!
I'm 33 and I always thought that I had to switch deodorants often because my body would get used to one certain brand. I recently noticed that if I really rub the deodorant in it works so much better.I really like soft solids. I rub it in until it disappears into my skin.
The common odor that comes from your underarms is usually caused the by the actual bacteria that form around it, at least this is what I was taught in anatomy & physiology. If the smell is coming from this, I've heard of "odor crystals" that work well, or using milk of magnesium and other such recipes.
But as others stated, it could be from your diet too. Also, if you drink alcohol a lot, that may contribute. I went thru a period where I was lushing it up pretty often and I noticed I sweat and stunk a lot more. I had to put deodorant on sometimes twice a day. But that all went away when I cut down on my drinking.
Your odor problem may not be just your armpits. Do you wash your clothing after each wear? You should because you obviously have overproductive glands, and oils on the repeatedly worn clothing will "warm" and emit odor.
Also, make sure when your clothing is in the final rinse that you add 2 cups white vinegar to the water. The vinegar helps remove any oils left and neutralizes odor.
I would make an appointment with an endocrinolgist and see if they can find a hormone imbalance.
Good luck.
I think you are psychologically disturbed for your problem.
1. Try to be tension free
2. Take regular shower
3. Drink at least 12 glass of water daily
4. Use different deodorant every alternate day
I hope your problem would be solved.
BOTOX, this can reduce sweating. ask your doctor
Certain Dri or Drysol are good to stop sweating. Drysol is behind the pharmacists counter but you don't need a prescription for it. You said you are not sweating so I'm not sure this will help but it might be worth a try. My very sweaty husband has solved his sweating/smelly armpits problem with these products (and he tried everything before that).
