Does sex with the Nuva Ring work?

Question:

In a week I'm going to start the Nuva Ring and I have a very active sex life with my fiance. I'm worried this will kind of intefer (especially since i heard it can lower your sex drive!!). I read your partner can't feel the ring but sometimes it comes out and sometimes it is felt. I also read you can take it out for a maximum of 3 hours. Has anyone tried taking it out for sex purposes and putting it back in? Did you put it in the refridgerator while you had sex and then put it back in? Does anyone have opinions on the Nuva Ring itself? Thank you!

I use NuvaRing and the first time I had sex with it in both my partner and I felt it, and it was a little bit strange, but not unpleasant. Since then, though, it has become normal and my partner says he no longer feels it. It has not affected my sex life at all, so don't worry about it; it is designed to be virtually indetectable during sex.
Do not take the ring out for sex, as it is very likely that you could forget to put it back in immedietely after (and I know I wouldn't want to push something back into my vagina right after sex when I'm a sticky mess). I've only been on two forms of birth control: the patch and more recently the ring, and I prefer the ring so much more than the patch.

yes it does, personally i dont prefer it, i mean if your getting into a little something extra.then its possible to pull it out, think about it u stil a ring up there its not going to disolve or disapear I was on the patch for years and quit because I was afraid of getting a blood clot and dying a horrible death.so I started using the Nuva Ring and I love it. My fiance says he can barely tell it's there, and I never can either, but sometimes I take it out anyway. You don't need to refrigerate it for those three hours. Mine's never fallen out. And I love the Nuva Ring! It hasn't lowered my sex drive at all, in fact I think I have the sex drive of a 15-year old boy.hope this helped, and have fun!
