Best CONTRACEPTION besides abstinence?

Question:

Answers:
I personally like the shot (Depo-Provera). It's more effective than the pill, you can't forget to take it unless you miss the doctor's apt, no periods for three months (which is a health benefit for me and many) and it's effective immediately. It may not be good for some, but it's my personal favorite after trying literally everything.

I can't tell you what the best contraception is for YOU as many different hormonal methods can react with your body's chemistry differently (i.e. different side effects for different people). But, if you want to be safe and not become pregnant, the best contraception would be to use condoms combined with a hormonal method whether that be the shot, the pill, the patch or the ring.

There are only about 4 days out of the month when you can get pregnant. Check out some fertility websites to educate yourself about those days, and use extra protection during that time. Try the 'trying to conceive" section of www.babyzone.com, but you can use it for trying not to conceive. This is what my husband and I did because I hate being dependent on hormonal treatments. vasectomy!
