My personal opinion is I would go for the test and ask them then. I would also continue to call. Did you leave a message with the nurse? I think if the doctor scheduled for this test it must be important and it would be silly to no go because he didn't call you personally. If you don't like the way they are handling your case after the test, take the test results to another doctor and get a second opinion. I hope it all turns out alright. Good Luck!
Sometimes doctors forget there a faces beyond the tests they are looking at and don't always have the best bedside manner. Unfortunately some of the best doctors out there seem to have the worst bed side manners. When you call express your concerns to the nurse they will usually listen to you and help you get the information you need.

I am modifying because I saw someone say they think it looks like you have cancer which I think is a load of crap and people on here sometimes just want to scare others. I hate it when people don't qualify their answers. So here is some information that I found on the internet.

Here's another with the same information.

I too have a low heart rate but not nearly as low as yours was. Mine is usually around 58. My fathers is around 56 and he is 59 he is also in really great shape, very athletic. I am not fat but I am not in great shape anymore, if I were my heart rate would be even lower. Your doctor is running test to see how you are, better to run too many than not enough. So please don't worry yourself to death without all the information, which I know is frustrating because no one is talking to you. Good Luck!

Ok be cool!if it was something so serious they would try to find u many times!it might not be heart problem.they r several other possibilities.hope u r ok!@ bye
I always get the run-around when i call the doctor, they are always so busy. But i would keep calling & maybe explain to the receptionist (& also on the nurses voicemail) that you are very concerned about this. I know you must be really nervous, but i think you definitely should have the test done. Pray about it also! I hope everything turns out fine. I'll be praying for you too! Good Luck! personally, if my doc didnt contact me, that means it is urgent. you sound like you might have cancer.if u do, fight it and b a survivor!
Your heart rate is too low (abnormal). Circulation is slow so blood does not get around fast enough. Can cause fainting. Has it always been that low (normal 65-80)? They want to find the cause. Pres GW Bush has the same heart rate but they know his is genetic and that is why he fainted 1 time.
I would definitely go for the test anyway. There's no point being stubborn and "making a point" when it comes to your health. But you can still make an appt to talk to the dr, just don't delay the test. Prob if it was REALLY serious he would have called you, so the test is prob to check out some anomaly that may or may not be anthing important.
