Period....?!?!?

Question: I got my first period today, how do I tell my mom? We don't have a very open relationship, its kind of akward. Also, is there anything I should know? Tampons, dosn't it feel wierd when it's inside you?

i don't think you need an open realtion with yur mum to tell her yo got your period.. just cause its something normal that happenes to every girl.. so just throw at her.. no need for introductions or anything.. mum.. i got my period.. thats all it takes...anywya abot tamp.. i don't know i personally don't like'em i use regualar pads.. i think theyre' much cleanrer and safer..and yeah i think they do feel weird.. but thats just ,e..many girls prfer them thou/

not if you do it right. you have to push it back far enough but then you don't feel them at all. Why don't you wait to "causually" mention that you started.. something like "hey mom. I need tampons. Can you bring me some from the shop?". Hope that helps.
