Serious Answers Please.Anyone know anything about POF (premature ovarian faliure)?

Question: I am 23 years old and have been having many symptoms of menopause, however my dr. says i have not hit menopause yet. I was looking for other things that it could be and came across this POF. It sounds a lot like menopause and I have many of those same symptoms, including infertility. We have been trying to concieve for almost a year with no luck. Very frustrating to have to be thinking about something like this so young.

Im not a doctor but I do know ALOT about POF due to my best friend going through this when she and her husband were trying to conceive a baby. Women are generally born with enough eggs in their ovaries to ovulate one each month. But with POF something happens to the supply of eggs, it could be a loss of eggs or the removal of ovaries at young ages. POF occurs in women under the age of 40. For few women the cause can be found on what is wrong. There are diagnosises of skipping periods, hot flashes, signs which are like menopause. People with POF should diet and eat healthier because ther are alot of risks to this.
