Question:
Answers:
Believe me, your doctor has talked to MANY girls about this. You have to believe me when I tell you that this is nothing to be embarassed about. It's a natural part of growing up, and you deserve the correct answers to any questions you might have. Don't worry! Ask her anything that's been bothering you or that you have questions about!

IF U CAN'T TALK ABOUT WRITE DOWN ANY QUESTIONS U HAVE 4 YOUR MOM OR ANY RESPONSIBLE FEMALE IN YOUR LIFE . GIVE IT TO THEM AND ASK THAT THEY RESPOND BACK TO U BY WRITING YOU BACK IT'S NORMAL TO FEEL LIKE THIS AND BELEIVE ME THIS WORK IF U WORK IT . GOOD LUCK
Your mom is messing you up big time. That is stupid of her. You might call her on it, and tell her you have questions about your period. Big whoop--like you said, everyone gets it. If nothing else, your doctor will probably be very kind if you just tell her you started but you don't know much about it. See what she offers. Tell her you just want some information about it.
If your doctor is not helpful, and you have a ride to get to the local Planned Parenthood, that is a safehaven for teens and adults with any questions or issue under the sun. They are very open and confidential. If no one is helping you understand your period then no one is helping you avoid pregnancy and disease down the road, either. They can do that (for little or no cost) in addition to helping you with basic period/health stuff.
I know how you feel I started when I was twelve too. But the only thing I can tell you to do is talk to someone. It may not be your mom,but it could even be your best friend.Thats all I can say.
dont be embarrassed!!they see a million people !
Don't worry..........it is totally natural. You're becoming a woman!
If your mom won't talk to you then definitely talk to your doctor!!!
Since she is a woman and you trust her. That's perfect! This way if any thing happens she can help you. Good Luck.
Your mom might not talk to you because she knows your uncomfortable. She might not think you want to talk to her about it.The same thing happened to me when I was your age and with my daughter. Some people do not want to talk about it.I did try to talk to my daughter and she shook her head also.I bought her a book all about everything and told her where it was in her room because I knew she was shy to ask any questions. They will teach you everything in school as you get a little older or you can look up an questions you may have on the Internet.Your lady doctor will not say anything to your mother about your questions either so you can ask her.Good Luck!

your mom is really messing up by doin that. you need to find an older, responsible female to talk to....like an older sibling or a close friends mom....believe me, im sure the doctor has heard everything. do be afraid...afterall everything is normal hun!!!.....dont be scared. good luck love.
They have talked to many girls and you can tell them anything.
Oh My Goodness, you have NOTHING to be embarrassed about. Your doctor (male or female) will not bat an eyelid if you choose to mention that you got your period. I promise. Have any of your other school friends got their periods? Perhaps, if you can't talk to your own mother you can talk to a friends mother? If you really feel too shy to talk to anyone about it, remember the following things: You can use sanitary towels or tampons, but you must change them regularly (every 4-5 hours) and always wash your hands thoroughly with hot soapy water BEFORE and after changing them; you can swim, horse-back ride or do any other sports if you wear a tampon - no one will know you have your period; if you get cramps, its perfectly normal - having a hot drink, a warm bath, holding a heat pack where it hurts, or taking an advil - all those things will help. Some people say thing like 'you can't wash your hair when you have your period' or other ridiculous things. They're just stupid, you can do whatever you like, its perfectly normal an we all go through it. Good luck!
