I think it is normal. Having backaches is definately normal. Sometimes we become dehydrate or anemic when it's our time (from loss of blood). Being dehydrated can cause your blood to thicken, which could cause two things, 1) your brain doesn't have enough fluids around it to float properly and can cause a headache from the tension and 2) you could have thick blood or blood clots coursing through tiny veins in your head causing a throbbing sensation.
Take ibuprofen to help thin blood and reduce swelling.
Bananas have the right vitamins to help us deal with pain so eat lots of bananas to help with cramps.

This could just be a normal headache. Try taking 2 advil and i'm sure it will get better!!
Yes it can be. I saw a neurologist about migraines I had every month, I get a migraine for 2 days before I start. She told me 50 percent of migraines are hormone related. Getting on birth control can sometimes stop the headaches.
Yes, I get them to around then. Still there is medicine to stop them.
Headaches are never a normal thing to be occuring..Something has to cause it.. it may increase with the increased accumulation of tissue fluids, during your time of month. Would be important to know where these headaches occur and how often.
Some women get headaches every month around the start of their period. They can be as bad as a migraine. I think it has to do with hormone levels. I get them and find they can be quite difficult to get rid of,I' ve found Extra Strength Excedrin to help more than any other over the counter meds.Sometimes Ijust have to go to bed and sleep.
