Girls answer please, or doctors?

Question:
Is it ok to wear a bra at night, because my mom died and my dad told me to take it off, but he won't explain why i should. can somebody please explain it? the only thing he said was that it had something to do with the growth of your boobs

Answers:
it might be ok. but it's better if you don't, he's right, the growth of your boobs will be affected because the bra cuts off the circulation. The boob won't grow at the same rate as it was before. so if you keep wearing it, then your boobs will be smaller than they should've.

Other Answers:
There's absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a bra at night! If anything it would just make your boobs extra perky...don't worry about it. I wear mine at night all the time.
its just uncomfortable... you should take it off.
It's okay to wear a bra at night. I don't because I find it uncomfortable. However, my two teenage daughters do wear theirs at night. Why is your dad worried about your breasts? If it is still bugging you, talk to your school nurse about it.
yup
you should take it off.... boobs need to be able to breath once in awhile.
What I can't understand is why do you need to wear a bra at night...leave it..what's the harm.
Yeah your dad is right. Wearing a bra does restrict the growth of your breasts if you are a growing teen. For adults, wearing a bra to sleep builds up toxins in the body and may lead to cancer. I try not to wear bra at home only when i go out. It's healthier and more liberating that way. Try also exercising bra-less, helps to make your breasts bigger. Hope my advice helps!
It's okay to leave a bra on at night if you want to. The breasts will continue to grow with or without it. It would be nice to let your skin breathe a little and not have strap or metal indentations on your body. Perhaps you could wear a camisole top or sports bra if that would make you feel more comfortable. Sorry about your mom.
it's OK with wearing a bra at night
i'm not, just uncomfortable for me to sleep with a bra
That's because some bras are too tight that when we sleep it become tighter. They exert pressure in our boobs. And one more thing: taking it off, prevents you for having breast cancer. At night, we may perspire, and as it dries up, it goes from the same part of the body where it came from. SAy, the sweat from your breast seeps through the bra and the bra in turn channel it back to your breast. As we all know, dried sweat is not good for the body.
hay u ask a good question.
1st i m not doctor & not a girl.
i see on discovery that bra is for hold ur boobs.
bra is not died a person. it keep u cool & control ur boobs in a shape otherwise thier r not in a shape.
IM SORRY ABOUT UR MOM , U METIONED IT WAS AFTER UR MOM DIED THAT HE SAID THIS I DONT THINK IT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE GROWTH OF UR BOOBS I THINK SHOULD GO STAY WITH SOMEONE ELSE IN THE FAMILY UNTIL UR FATHER GETS OVER THE DEPRESSION AND CAN DEAL WITH THIS AND IF YOU HAVE OTHER SIBLINGS TAKE THEM WITH YOU THIS ISN'T NORMAL
there is some evidence that bras constrict the blood flow into the breast. altho it is not proven, it is thought that this can cause breast cancer in some women. i read an article once that suggested such a thing. if you google bras and cancer you can probably find information.

the article said that women should wear bras as little as possible, that underwires are worse than ones with out underwires and that you should defiantly not wear them to bed. and that the best bra is the sports bra that is completelty made of cloth. you should try to give your body as much freedom of blood flow as possible.

my grandmother died of breast cancer and i can tell you, it makes you worry. i try only to wear a bra if needed like at work and for appts. other than that i fly free. the article also said to massage your breasts after wearing the bra for several hours to help positive blood flow.

i am sorry to hear about your mom,
you should read as much information as you can so you can make a positive decision that is best for you.

blessings,
lily
its ok to wear a bra at night as long as your comfortable with it you should
Hi, i am really sorry for lose your mom.
i know living without mom is hard but it is life..
yes, i also sleep with bra at night , your dad said it maybe he want you sleep comfortable and better , but i am really good by sleeping by bra. you can try also if is not good take off it.
well,I take off nights cuz it disturbs me.But is it somkinda promise to your mom that you'll wear it always?
im assuming u are a teenager, if so then yes u should take off your bra when sleeping because it can restrict the gowth of breasts, but if your much older than its ok to wear a bra when sleeping
i am very sorry about your mom. but if you are comfortable with it on wear it if you are comfy without it on take it off!
It's recommended that you don't wear underwires at night, as the way you sleep could cause them to dig into your boobs and damage them. It's uncomfortable anyway. Try a sports bra, or a camisole with hidden support - that will give you support, but it's safe, and more comfortable.

No offence to your dad, but he's probably just trying to validate himself as a father by giving you advice, he probably doesn't know that much about it. Still, don't be afraid to ask him for advice about other things you would have asked your mom. And I'm really sorry you lost your mom - I have friends who's moms have died and all I can say is that I hope you have your family and friends to support you :)
U shouldn't because, ur body needs to air out.
I usually sleep with my bra on, just because it's more comfortable. It wouldn't hurt to take it off during the night though, and give your breasts a little break. I'm sorry about your mom. : (
