i don't see anything good that you can get from smoking and drinking hard liquors -- instead they do harm to your body. what is usually the reason people give that makes smoking and drinking, legal?

Not only drinking and smoking, but also manufacturing and distribution of these products should be illegal. Singapore has done an excellent job in controlling drugs, by taking action on both Demand & Supply.

this is a free country, remember? we can basically do anything we want, smoke drink, ect. i would vote it illegal though because it is very bad for ur health plus it screws up your life and i don't want to have my life screwed up because of smokers and drinkers, ya know?

What gives you the right to make that decision for everyone? You've decided that you don't want to smoke or drink, but that doesn't mean that everyone is going to make the same choice. It's not as though you're being forced to do either just because it's legal.

Not all the time :P I do understand what you are asking.I'm a very heavy smoker"I do not drink. I'm sure your views are shared by many.I know that I'am dead wrong in mine but here they are,I have been smoking for 56 years.I want to quit.It has distorted my health and life.I have had heart attracts strokes and just learned that I have cancer about 4 Weeks ago.I do not believe anyone should dictate to me about this issue about it being a law against it.I do respect the rights of everyone.Like if you come in my house and you are a non smoker I WILL NOT smoke while you are a guest in my house.I hope this helps answer for some of us smokers I watched my father and father in law die of lung cancer now its my turn.I'am not proud .I wish they would ban it but it won't happen
