Does pregnancy affect a woman's IQ? and if so, does it recover after childbirth?

Question:

Answers:
"Nappy brain syndrome" affects women during pregnancy and usually gets eradicated by the time the child is about 18 years old... :D

I wouldn't actually say IQ as much as short-term memory - which is why the cereal usually ends up back in the fridge and the milk goes in the oven...And it does get better after childbirth once the hormones that caused it dissipate.
Pregnancy doesn't affect your IQ as such, but hormone levels can have an effect on memory and mood. This should return to what's normal for you a few months after childbirth.
