Answers:
I'm so sorry to hear your story. It's bad enough to lose a pregnancy without learning there's a risk of cancer to you too.

With molar pregnancy, the molar tissue can embed itself deep into the wall of womb. The D&C's are done because it is important to make sure all traces of the abnormal tissue is removed.

Following the D&C's, the doctors will monitor your pregnancy hormone levels for about one year at least. If they remain absent, you should need no further treatment.
If they remain a little raised, they will talk to you about the possibility of trophoblastic disease and discuss treatment.

About 20% of complete molar pregnancies and 2% of incomplete molar pregnancies can result in persistant abnormal tissue growth.

Usually this does involve treatment with cancer drugs, but in most cases the outcome is 100% cure.

For a very small number of women, there is a possibility that a combination of cancer drugs will be needed, but the outcome is also excellent.

There is a tiny number of women who unfortunately find they have a rare development where the cancer does extend beyond the womb, but again, the treatments can be extremely successful.

Good luck, I hope everything turns out ok. You should make very sure not to get pregnant for at least a year after a molar pregnancy, as the hormone tests will be impossible to monitor how you are.
Sorry to hear you have had this, it must be very distressing for you, take a look at this site it might help explain a few things for you.
