swimming pool excercises are the easiest on your joints & musles.jogging, areobics & running are the worce ones to do as they jar your joints causing inflamton & over time can make them weaker..imagine the amount of force & pressure put on them when you lieterally are repeatedly "slamming" them with all your body weight..
plus swimming helps keep your body cool, prevents over heating great muscle resistance.some places offer "Aqua areobics" which is basically doing the same movements as in a class,in the pool..
Leaving out a lot of carbs will help you loose weight too.remove one thing at a time ,every 2 weeks, drink plenty of water, avoid ALL sweetners (artificals are really bad for you body,as your body was never intended to process them, plus they are so nasty to taste)..add more veggies, without the dips or salad dressings..condiments are added caloiries too..read the food labels to find the lowest source of saturated fats..avoid process foods..soy/soybean oil/vegetable oils(they are soy mostly) are now genetically altered & have very little protient values as they had 20 years ago.
Stick with chicken or fish..cooked anyway but deep fried .uncooked veggies have more nutrients than steamed, stir fried or boiled ones do.frozen ones do too, canned ones have a lot of sodium/salt added, unless they are fresh off the plant, they loose their protien vaules more than the other 2 do..
Try to avoid salty foods,as salt/sodium causes water retention.making you bloated.
Rice,corn & potatoes/fries , have a very high carb content.
Use extra virgin olive oil to cook in .it has a very light taste & is a good fat..vegetable oil is full of saturated fat, clogs ateries & packs on the weight.
Better to use a small amount of real butter than maragine or spreads,as they are mostly hydroganated soy/vegetable oil..

The swimming pool is an excellent starter for exercise.
enough for what? yeah, you'd lose some weight in a swimming pool if you move around. enough? depends on the goal. i have heard that swimming is very good exercise.
depends how you swim. you gotta really push yourself, i can't do that without a coach or a buddy encouraging me. if youre a good swimmer try swimming 10X100 Freestyle in under 1:10 seconds thats good stuff right there
just remember that the water makes you hungry, so as long as you dont get out and scarf down a huge snack, you should be good.
That will definitely make a difference~ if you do it nearly every day. Of course, we don't know what you're body type or body image are like so we don't know what "enough" will be for you. You also run the risk of developing a slightly larger upper body if you continue with this as your only form of excercise. Eat right, stay active. the pool is one of the best forms of exercise. they also have water weights available
