Without more information, there is no way to know. A woman ovulates about 2 weeks (usually 12-16 days) before her *next* period. Sperm can live in the female body up to 5 days. So it depends on how long her cycle is and how long her period is. If today was day 5 of her cycle, then as long as her cycles are at least 27 days long, you're probably fine. If today was day 9 of her cycle, then if her cycles are at least 31 days long, she probably wasn't fertile.

Cycles are frequently longer than expected, but rarely shorter. So if she hasn't had a cycle that is shorter than the above numbers, she is *probably* not capable of getting pregnant. But there are no absolute guarantees.

Either she is fertile or she is not.

She cannot be pregnant two days after her period or any other time if she is not fertile.

If she IS fertile, she can be pregnant two days after, two days before or any other time. She is not as likely to be pregnant then, but she surely can be.

I'm not a doctor. I'm a woman who has three children, each of whom I conceived immediately after my period. : )
yes you may have finish your cycle but the egg may still be present
If her cycles are normal (i.e. around 28 days) then you probably don't have a lot to worry about. Women ovulate around mid-cycle, and sperm can usually only live a few days in the woman's body, so most likely by the time she ovulates you won't have a large risk. It is still a possibility though. If you are trying to avoid pregnancy, I would go ahead and use some kind of birth control all the time, so you don't stress over it.
It is possible. there may be an egg in the other tube, but highly improbable.
It is possible for a woman to get pregnant, even if she is mensturating. It is a myth that a woman cannot conceive if she is on her period.
And remember, sperm can live inside the woman for several days. so, even if she isn't ovulating at this exact second, if she is not regular and does so in the near future, the sperm may still be alive and swimmin.
There is actually a small window of opportunity to conceive. Generally for a woman that has her cycles every 28 days, she is fertile only around 72 hours of that time. The time frame begins around the 17 to 22 day after she had her last period. A woman that is totally in tune with her body, can actually tell when that time is. A woman's body produces a slimier mucus which she discharges. When this occurs, her body is ovulating. This is the best time to start trying to conceive. Keeping in mind that there is just a couple of days from that point to work with. If in this time frame she were to get pregnant they now have a pregnancy test that picks up the pregnancy hormone as early as 24 to 48 hours after conception. She wouldn't even have to wait to see if she misses her next period. If she does not get pregnant, by continuing to read her body signs, after this time frame, she will have a different discharge that is rather yellow and chalkie. This is when the unfertilized egg leaves the womb and the cleaning process begins, and around the 28th from her last period she should start her cycle again. Woman that do not have a normal 28 day cycle have a much harder time to conceive.
Studies have been done on many many women. They can actually get pregnant on any day of the month. This is because the sperm can actually stay alive inside the woman for quite some time. Enough time for it to find the next egg, even though one was just destroyed in her cycle.

The odds of this happening are low, so don't get too worried. However, I reccommend you take precautions next time if you don't want children yet.
Don't believe anyone telling you she can't get pg.. A woman can ovulate before, DURING and after her period. The overies can drop more than one egg too..
