If someone develops a habbit of plucking her own head's hair then what she should do n why does it happen?

Question:

Answers:
is it a compulsive behaviour or is it just something that is controlled like for instance many people might pluck hairs from their chin or body individually because the razor doesn't get to those areas? So in this case it could be quite normal.

Other Answers:
My sisters and I used to do it as well as grandfather. It wasn't only hair but eyelashes. OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) runs in our family.
I agree with Brattylatina. My friend Maz also has Compulsive Obessive Disorder and started off pulling his eyebrows out then his hair.
Actually, the name of the disease is not OCD. It is called Trichotillomania. Look at the following website and it will answer most of your questions.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "plucking head hair". Is this something for cosmetic purposes or a compulsive act? If it is a compulsive act, it is really a compulsive disorder and needs to be brought to doctor's attention.
hi my name is kim my lil sis do that my mom took her to the doc and she said that she have a nervous problem and it cream that they gave her cream it calmed her down a lil but she still pluck but not as much
It is a hormonal disorder. There is a natural supplement for that.
The MPE person was right tricttolomania..you want to take care of this NOW.

i had a girl in my day care do that.. sweet girl stress..reliever, to distract her..after awhile that form of muitlation felt good.

Counseling is a start. And..not to scare you but this is serious This disorder causes hair pulling, cutting.or what is that called .setting fires.

she may not even realize she does it.. you may want to be careful how you handle this one..
