Fibroids, i have 3, any suggestions on a safe way to remove them?

Question: I have visited a radiologist that explained a procedure that sends sand to the fibroid and shrinks it. He discouraged me though. Any other methods?

My daughter had one and her doctor did a myomectomy (sp ?)
She had it surgically removed and had no problems, The doctor was worried about her having a baby because the surgery may cause a weakness in the uterine muscle.
