kinda nervous that i will like get it at a horribe time. i'm also kinda scared that i will never get it and have like a horrible dieseise. i know its like super childish to be scared about that seeing i'm 14 but it would be just my luck if i did have a horrible diesiese (yes i know i can't spell... sorry...)

Answers:
You are so blessed not to hafta worry about it yet. Don't stress yourself out about it just yet though. It is perfectly natural for a girl to get her period at 14, 15 or later. You may want to see a gynecologist just to make sure everything's okay, though.

Sweetheart, the more you worry, the longer it's gonna seem to be.........Relax, and if you are really nervous about the horrible disease thing tell your mom you want a checkup...........That way you'll ease your fears........Once you HAVE your period, I guarantee, you'll wish you didn't.........LOL........Take care, honey..........
No one knows at what age a girl will have her period, but there is certainly nothing to be afraid of. It is a normal process on the road to womanhood. It is not painful, embarrassing and why even consider having a horrible disease. If you are that worried, maybe you should talk to someone. Listening to stories from other girls is not helpful, if they are scaring you. You are assuming you will never get it. Why? You have plenty of time and if you do not get it within a few years, to ease your fears go to a gyn. Most of all, stop worrying.
can you talk to your mother about this (is she available?)?

it is nothing to be ashamed of so it would be more childish to NOT ask an adult member of your family (female most preferably)

You may find that your mother was a late bloomer too- if you are worried about it happening at a bad time, maybe you can be prepared by living as if you already do have it. (please ask a girl about this because I dont know if its harmful to take precautions b4hand- but it seems like it would be ok)

PLEASE ask your mom or a doctor sweetheart, matters like this should be took to them. You cannot always trust any answers you will get from strangers. Remember also, that it is nothing to be ashamed of, it is a natural human thing!

Dont be in such a hurry to grow up either, enjoy your youth because it is the shortest period of your life. Bless you little lady, and good luck!
Please dun worry. It's pretty normal, even to get it at age 15, especially if you're small in size. So, no sweat. I got mine at 13... I'm sure u'll be just fine.

However, if you'r worried that ur period will catch u off-guard, here are a few signs to look out for:

- Bloaty stomach
- slight cramp in stomach
- swollen, painfull nipples
- increase in vagina discharge
- pimples breakout
- mood swings

hope that helps~
I was 13 when I got mine, but I know several people who didn't start until age 16. You will start, hopefully later than sooner, but most likely it won't be long. I think the average age is between 12 and 15. Just carry a pad with you at all times in your purse or backpack. When you start getting white discharge, which means you'll start soon, wear a pantiliner every day and don't wear white pants. That way when you do start you wont bleed through your clothes. You are at a very exciting age, although I know it is really tough. Enjoy as much as you can. High School will be the best years of your life so enjoy being young and don't grow up too fast. I would do anything to be 14 again. I am 24.
Well most girls start when their mom started ask your mom when she started.Don't worry change pads everytime you wake and always keep spare pants and pads and take a shower or bath everytime you get off your period that will be in like 5 days to a week and mark off when you stop and you should start in 28 days also when you change pads roll them up and wrap tissue around them so nobody will know. Then when you get older maybe you will choose to wear tampons and the best pad brand is "Always" do not get the one that has the blue barrier that one is bad one then you should always stay calm it comes and goes it doesnt hurt maybe when you get cramps in your stomach but eat crackers when that happens Good luck!
it depends on when your mom started.
don't fret over it. It is a normal thing.
if your that scared talk to your mom or your school nurse.
Its totally normal to start late. I got mine at 10 but a girl I went to high school with didn't get hers until she was nearly 17, and she's fine. Menses is often triggered by the "magic number" of 100 pounds. Like someone said earlier, if you are smaller than this its likely that you just haven't started because you're little. Don't sweat it, you'll be fine! Don't be scared! :)
