Ever felt like you are loosing your individuality to a relationship?

Question:
Its like when I am with my boyfreind I am a totally different person that I am when I am by myself. Its so weird. It's like I almost have alternate personalities. I want so bad to be who I really am all the time, but it just doesn't work out when I am with him so much in his world. Does anybody know what I mean? It's like I am not as strong or brave or anything as I used to be before I met him. I am less socialable. It's like what has happened to me? But when I get by myself I get angry and just want a week to be single and catch up on myself.ever felt like that?

Other Answers:
Yes I have and you need to get out NOW.
This boy is bringing out the worst in you.

Before I was married, I was in a few relationships like that. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as it seems to be for you, but I realize now that if I would have married any of them, my real personality would have come out eventually and that wouldn't be fair to them. It would've ended in divorce. Even in my marriage now, I can see how I have changed a little because I have been more open about thoughts, feelings, and interests that I kept hidden before. Fortunately, since my wife and I were "real" with each other before we got married, that little change has not hurt our relationship. In fact, it has made it better because we can both explore our dreams.
