a question for the women?
Question:
Answers:
In former years, we were stitched up tight. Now the procedure leaves some space open so the wound can drain. Sounds normal to me unless she begins running a fever or is draining pus or strong odor.
The incision should NOT be draining unless there is infection and a drainage tube was placed in the incisional site...however...some seepage may occur from just the incision itself. If it becomes too much or you notice an odor...seek medical help. Otherwise this should stop within a few days
