How do you treat hypoglecymia?

Question:
I think I have hypoglecymia. My symptoms are matching up with WebMD and other medical sites.

If I do go to the doc, what is the most she can do? What are treatments for hypoglecymia. I am afraid it will be a waste of time for me to even go.

Answers:
You would probably be given a fasting glucose test. Basically, you don't eat anything after midnight, then they make you drink a gross sugar drink, and they test your blood & urine once an hour for about six hours. At least, that was my experience. I was told that I'm borderline, and that I shouldn't go more than 3 hours without eating something. Perhaps try to eat a bit more often (smaller, more frequent meals instead of the traditional 3-a-day), and see if it makes you feel any better.

Other Answers:
I found out I had it through a local health fair blood test.
They did not give me anything to treat it and said it was all in the diet. If you eat food with starch and nothing else, it triggers. If you skip meals it will. If you eat something to high in the wrong types of high sugar range, it will spike too fast and leave you dizzy and confused.(esp, like something real sweet on an empty stomach) If you feel it coming on, eat a spoon of peanut butter, or a drink glass of milk. Eat small snacks with healthy sugars. Orange juice is good.
